Superglue is a rock band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The band is fronted by guitarist and singer, Johnny Montanez with Aidan Valentine on drums, and Ian Zempel on bass. The project is strongly reminiscent of nineties bands such as Hum, Failure, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Superglue was formed in late 2020 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin originally consisting only of Montanez and Valentine. Eventually, Jake Puestow joined forces and the three began practicing material Johnny had written on his own. Superglue’s early sound is best described as punk. The three-piece recorded an early demo tape called “Superglue Vs. The World” and eventually started to play shows in the area. After 2 years of playing shows, Superglue recorded their debut album “Monarch” in 2023. However, after moving to Milwaukee later that year, the band scrapped their early music and decided to reinvent themselves. In 2023 Superglue released their debut song “Asteria Adonis” onto streaming platforms. Following this release, in December, Superglue dropped their second song “Untitled”, reinvting their sound into Nu-Gaze territory.

Currently, in 2024 the band is recording and releasing new singles and playing a variety of shows around the midwest. Most notably, Superglue is set to play “Gaze At the Moon Festival” with the likes of Sleepwalk, Old Coke, and Muted Color.
